Inductors are the common passive components which are important to design in the electronic circuits, it is according to different application to design, ex: Energy storage inductance, Power filter, and Power choke.
The core of the inductor is usually a combination of high magnetic permeability, the material as: Ni-Zn, Mn-Zn, manganese-zinc, molypermalloy powder (MPP), sendust core…etc, it can be selected according to the operating frequency range, temperature, magnetic saturation and other requirements.
Generally, the inductors use in switching power supply is high-frequency magnetic component, the required characteristics vary widely, due to the voltage and current have the requirement for temperature, insulation class, withstand voltage, and harsh environment requirement…etc in different environment; during the circuit design, besides of consideration the basic parameter value of inductance, inductor of relationship of impedance, AC resistance, and frequency, also the core loss and saturation current…etc.
