Motocraft TLVR Dual Winding Inductors MTC1226 & 1227-TLVR Series

Motocraft's Trans-Inductor Voltage Regulator Dual Winding Inductor (TLVR) is part of the MTC1226 and 1227 TLVR series, featuring dual winding power bead inductor TLVRs. This new design effectively handles transient response.

Motocraft says they have solved common issues in general TLVR designs, such as double winding problems, leakage shorts, and CPU overheating.

This series has a shielded construction to reduce the radiated insulation voltage between the two coils, specified above 800V/AC. The operating temperature range of this series is -40 to +125 ºC.

The MTC1226 and MTC1227 series are designed for different operating frequencies ranging from 300KHz to 3MHz.

The following are specifications listed according to different product series and their inductance range:
MTC1226 Series: These inductors have an inductance range of 40nH to 330nH.
Another reference in the MTC1226~TLVR series is specified from 40 to 220 nH.
Specific part numbers from MTC1226-40NM to MTC1226-R33K belong to this series.
MTC1227 Series: These inductors have an inductance range of 70nH to 170nH.

These inductors can be used in a variety of high performance and power sensitive systems requiring strong voltage regulation and transient response handling

• Voltage regulator module

• Multiphase Regulator

• Artificial Intelligence Servers and Workstations

• Data center, data network exchange and storage system

• Desktop computer

• Graphics card

• Server

• Battery powered system

The manufacturing process details mention the options for metal plating, including tin (4um) and gold (2um), depending on the actual project requirements. Gold-plated part numbers are indicated by adding a “-G” suffix, for example, MTC1226-R12-G4.
